Blenda Sophia Abrahamson Lundeen was born November 14, 1880 in Öja, Kronoberg, Sweden to Peter Abrahamsson and Christina Svensdotter. She departed from Göteborg, Sweden with her parents for North America on May 27, 1881. They lived on a farm near Harris, Minnesota. She went by the name of “Sophie”. She was married to John Albert William Swenson on November 23, 1904 in North Branch, Minnesota by Rev. Linner. They lived on the farm John owned along with his brother immediately east of the Frank Swenson homestead on Horseshoe Lake in Fish Lake Township near Stark. They were members of Fish Lake Lutheran Church. John and Sophie had one adopted child, Marjaya Victoria, who married Dolph Nordgren of North Branch. Marjaya had two girls, Jeanne Kay and Julie Ann.

On Nov. 18, 1907 the 120 acres of land owned jointly between Charles E. Swenson and John A. Swenson was divided up equally. John Swenson continued to farm his 60 acres of land until his wife Sophie became sick and died of cancer at the age of 49 in Minneapolis on December 24, 1929. Sophia Swenson is buried in Fish Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
