On Tuesday, December 3rd, the citizens of the Fish Lake community joined in mourning the passing of a beloved and respected woman of that community. Funeral rites were conducted on that day for Mrs. C. V. Colliander from the Fish Lake Lutheran Church, of which she had been a member since 1894.
Rev. A. Wm. Nordin officiated at the services with Mrs. Nordin and Mrs. John Hultgren furnishing appropriate singing for the services. Pallbearers were C. E. Lund, Fritz Lindberg, E. F. Hals, Hilding Peterson, Fred Colliander and Gust Warme.
Mrs. Agnes Josephine Colliander was born at Fish Lake on October 24, 1876 and passed away on November 29, 1940 in the same community of her birth. She was confirmed at the Fish Lake Lutheran Church on June 24, 1894 and on October 7, 1908 she became the bride of Mr. C. V. Colliander.
Left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Colliander are her husband, C. V. Colliander; five sisters, Mrs. Emily C. Johnson of Minneapolis, Mrs. Hulda Hammer of Minneapolis, Mrs. Albin Blomster of Fish Lake and Misses Mary and Esther Swenson of Minneapolis; one brother, Mr. J. A. W. Swenson of Chisago City, and a host of other relatives and friends.
