Three sisters and a brother lay helplessly ill at their farm home 3 miles north of Center City with the result that death's visit claimed the lives of the women, and the brother was taken to the St Croix Hospital where he now lies in critical condition suffering from bronchial pneumonia and a weak heart. The brother Ernest is 68 years of age.

The dead are Miss Emily E Peterson age 63 who died last Wednesday January 20 from the effects of the flue and heart stroke between the hours of 10:30 and 12:00 that day, and her sister Miss Mary Peterson age 61 years, who passed away at 10:20 am at the St Croix Hospital.

On Wednesday morning of last week the older sister, who had occupied a room upstairs came down to inquire about the condition of her sister and brother and then returning to her room was heard from no more. Her brother got out of bed and went upstairs to find his sister dead. Vernon L Johnson a relative and neighbor called there shortly after noon and had her sister and brother taken to the hospital, where the remaining sister died Monday.

Funeral services for Miss Emily Peterson were held Saturday at the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church at Center City at 2:00 pm. Officiating was the Rev C E Slatt. Two solos were sung by Mrs Wallin. Those serving as pallbearers were Peter Martenson, AM Anderson, Oscar Olmberg, Alber Rolig, John Johnson, Thomas Anderson. Burial was held at the church cemetery.

Emily Elydia Peterson was born on a farm 3 miles north of Center City March 23, 1873, being the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John and Johanna Johnson. She spent most of her life on the home farm and was never married. The deceased however, belongs to the church at Center City being baptized there April 10, 1873, she was confirmed May 11, 1890. She attended school at Furby.

Mary Christine Peterson, who died Monday were held at the Chisago Lake Lutheran church yesterday afternoon at 3:00pm with Rev CN Slatt officiating. The service was almost similar to that of her sister the previous Saturday. The same Pallbearers served and burial was made at the same lot as her sister Emily.

Mary Christina Peterson was born on the home farm 3 miles north of Center City March 31, 1876 and spent all her life there. She too was never married. Death came as a result of an illness and heart trouble, double pneumonia and adhesions.

The deceased was baptized April 9, 1876 and confirmed May 11, 1890 from the Center City Church. Left to mourn the sisters is brother Ernest of the home farm, Mr and Mrs Vernon L Johnson residing near the old home. A sister preceded them in death. They also leave their nephews Raymond and Vernon, 2 nieces Constance and Alice Johnson as well as the children of the nephews and Marion Johnson besides other relatives and friends
