John Enok Andersson b:1869 Sweden d:1953 CA arrived in Missouri Valley, IA c1885. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Omaha and in 1887, he sent for his mother Gustafva (Stella) Andreasdotter/Anderson and his sister Josephina Anderson who married Carl Emil Scholander and moved to Cherokee Iowa at some point.
His mother operated a boarding house in South Omaha. John worked at the Stockyards. He married a widow, Emma C. Johansson in 1896. They had 4 daughters/1 son before they moved to Cherokee, IA.
Emma arrived in Boston in Nov. 1887. She came alone. She made her way after a time, to Omaha. She had 4 brothers that lived in Omaha at least part of the time. Emil/Nathanael, Adolph, Klas, and Gustav Johansson. They could have very well changed it to Johnson. I do know that four boys came separately to Omaha, but I do not know when those dates were. Gustav drowned before he would have married. Emil contracted Bright's disease and died after he returned to Sweden. Adolph married and had 9 children. Klas married had 2 children and died shortly afterwards.
